the forest will wilt like a bouquet
the rock revealed patiently waits
pious cries wail from a cage
the insects are dying
their bodies are piling in the cracks
they lie on their backs
beneath twisted legs

I've seen the moon through a telescope
my little heart heard an echo
and in shine the stars from beyond the glass
my little wind was a draft
so I banged against the wall like a chainsaw
I dove in the ocean and never dried off
I spread among the treetops like vapor in the morning
refracting the sun's iridescent glory

may my body be a mountain
may my mind be the sky
may my spirit be a fountain
beneath the ground a spring melts the ice
