we’re the thunder flashing
and the mushroom people coming out to play

do you smell the morning dew
with sun peaking through
falling on this dry earth
do you hear the birds chirping
at the first light
of a new day’s birth

have you seen the stars at night
in open sky
without any towns around

what you’re looking for
if you go explore
the deep dark inner forest
